Tolliver Family Connections

From Calobe Jackson, Jr., August 18, 2003
Dear Mrs. Mullen, I have noticed that a Toliver was listed on the Harrisburg Giants Baseball club in 1906. As you may have gleaned from reading Afrolumens, Colonel Strothers' wife died shortly after getting pneumonia at the dedication of Zion Baptist Church in 1895. Colonel Strothers owned the Harrisburg Giants and may have also been a member of Zion Baptist. Do you know if this Toliver was related to your family? I don't have a first name, but may be able to find one from a city directory or the Census.
