Harpers Ferry Symposium on Niagara Movement
 Centennial registration opened

From Jean Libby, June 08, 2006

Dear scholars,

Pre Registration for the August 16 - 18 [Harpers Ferry Symposium on the Niagara Movement] conference is ready now.

The people at Harpers Ferry have been working hard to prepare an excellent conference in commemoration of the 1906 Niagara Movement Convention, the second annual event.

At the same time, W.E.B. Du Bois was working on his biography of John Brown, which was under contract but not completed (for various reasons) until 1909.

This was a very formative time for the scholar and activist Du Bois, as well as many in this organization.

Hope to see many John Brown scholars there.
