Re:  Harrisburg Giants--Negro Baseball League Players Related?

From Calobe Jackson, Jr., 25 July 2007 in response to Harryette Mullen's letter

Dear Harryette,

There exists a picture of a Harrisburg Giants player in uniform, taken at a Lancaster ballpark. Supposedly the wife of the ball player left or divorced the ball player and banned the picture from her family collection (early 1930s).  The wife was related to the Spradley family in Harrisburg.  Speculation is that the picture may be of Dalton Cooper. The women that now has the picture is currently on vacation. When she returns, I will send a copy to afrolumens for posting.  If it is not Dalton Cooper, perhaps some viewer will recognize the player

Calobe
