Jan Slater writes "I have extracted the Free Persons of Color and slaveholder names from the 1790 Census for Washington County PA. You will find it below this message. If it has been done before, I cannot find it online.

"I hope this is of some use. I have posted this at my website but feel free to use it in whole or any part of it as you wish.
I did find two interesting names of free persons of color that could be related to my families: Edwd Huggins and William Willson.

"More free persons of color and ninety-four slaves are listed by slaveholder name in that portion of the 1790 census of Allegheny County, Pennsylvania taken from Washington County in 1788 - I hope to extract that information soon.

"I offer no guarantee of accuracy but I but I believe this list is complete. I have checked it twice but others might have a different interpretation of the spellings."
