• Hunter, George W., Corporal, 3rd USCT, Company H.  Born 20 July 1832 in Lancaster County, PA to Jacob and Charlotte Hunter.   Enlisted 18 July 1863 in Philadelphia, PA and mustered into 3rd USCT, Company H; Promoted to corporal 1864; Mustered out with company on 31 October 1865 at Jacksonville, Florida. (Bates).
  Family members: Wife Ellen; Sons George W., Charles, and daughter Ellen A.
  Died 20 May 1908 in Middletown, Dauphin County Pennsylvania.  Buried in the East Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, Dauphin County Pennsylvania.

George, Private, 127th USCT, Company F/B.  Born 06 February 1843 in York County, PA to James and Catheine Shorter.   Enlisted 30 August 1864 in Carlisle, PA and mustered into 127th USCT, Company F; Promoted to corporal on 10 September 1864; Mustered out with company B 08 September 1865 at Brazos, Texas. (Bates).
  Died 02 October 1916 in Middletown, Dauphin County Pennsylvania.  Buried in the East Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, Dauphin County Pennsylvania.

• Stanton, Thomas G., Private, 5th Massachusetts Cavalry, Company G.  Born in Frederick County, Maryland, 1827.   Enlisted 27 February 1864 in Boston, mustered into 5th Massachusetts Cavalry, Company G on 04 March 1864 at Readville, Massachusetts; mustered out with company 31 October 1865 at Clarksville, Texas. (Bates).
  Family members: Wife Louise (Jones) 1836-1907, same cemetery; Sons Thomas, George, Jacob, Christian and Alfred.
  Living in Lower Swatara Township, Dauphin County, PA before the war; occupation: farmer.
  Died 29 October 1910 in Middletown, Dauphin County Pennsylvania.  Buried in the East Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, Dauphin County Pennsylvania.

• Thornton, Rev. Robert C., Sergeant., 22nd USCT, Company C/G.  Born in Fairfield, Lancaster County, PA, 17 December 1833.   Mustered into 22nd USCT Infantry, Company C (or G) on 31 December 1863 at Philadelphia, PA; mustered out with company G 16 October 1865 at Brownsville, Texas. (Bates).
  Additional info on Find-A-Grave page: "Promoted to corporal July 1, 1864, and to sergeant December 21, 1864, but was on sick furlough in Lancaster from February 18, 1865, for which he was charged $3.00 in transportation costs. He was reduced to ranks to date October 1, 1865, reason not stated in his compiled military service records, although ill health is a possibility." (Researcher/contributor not noted)
